Surfing Eastern Samar Philippines
This reef break was triple overhead wide open barrels this day. It's a fast down the line power wave at any size. This Philippine Pacific Ocean reef break faces Northeast and is best on Typhoon swells with Habagat offshore wind which is usually fairly light. Several other world class left right reef, point, rivermouth and beach breaks are in the area. For the most part Eastern Samar has uncrowded surf and the cost of living is very low with plenty of accommodations and transportation available. Eastern Samar Habagat Surf Season Is Best
The best season for surf is during Habagat season with Typhoon and Tropical Depression ground swells and south southwest offshore winds during the months of May to November with August through November being the biggest and best months. May through August can be just has good as it all depends upon the Typhoons and their track. During Habagat season most all spots along Eastern Samar are working good.
Eastern Samar Amihan Surf Season
The Amihan season conditions are Northeast to East onshore winds during the months of December to April with December and January being the biggest normally but with still very rideable wind swells coming from the Northeast to East onshore winds at a few selected south facing locations which the winds are offshore to side offshore and wind swell waves still very rideable.
